Problem

BUG REPORT: When running the Veritas NetBackup (tm) 6.5.2 nbemmcmd command to delete a host from a cluster, rather than a success message, the nbemmcmd returns the failure message, "The function returned the following failure status: generic EMM SQL error (193) Command did not complete successfully."

Solution

Overview:
In NetBackup 6.5.2 (and 6.5.2A), running nbemmcmd -deletehost -machinename <machinename> -machinetype cluster produces this failure message and media manager (MM) status code 193:

NBEMMCMD, Version:6.5.2
The function returned the following failure status:
generic EMM SQL error (193)
Command did not complete successfully.

Log Files: n/a

Workaround:
There is no workaround available.

Please apply the appropriate release update to resolve this issue.
