Problem

BUG REPORT: When using the bp or bpadm interface on HP-UX 11.23 or 11.31 systems on Integrity (IA-64) architecture, a DATE ERROR will be returned during attempts to change dates.

Solution

Bug: 1395328

Symptoms:  
On Integrity (IA-64) systems running HP-UX 11v2 (11.23) or 11v3 (11.31), when attempting to change the start and end date range from within the bp or bpadm menu interfaces, an error will be displayed in place of the Current Start Date field.

Example:
The following error will be returned in any area of the Backup or Restore menu where users select d) Change Date Range...

Current Start Date: DATE ERROR
New Start Date:

Workaround:
Use the Windows Administration console, Java console or command line to initiate the desired job.

The formal resolution to this issue (Etrack 1395328) is included in the following patch release:
  • NetBackup 6.5 Release Update 4 (6.5.4)
