Problem

BUG REPORT: After applying the NetBackup 6.5.2 release update, the bpbkar32.exe process is faulting when backing up Exchange public folders.

Solution

Bug: 1399919

Detail/Symptoms:
After applying the NetBackup 6.5.2 release update, the bpbkar32.exe process faults when backing up Exchange public folders.  The job exits reporting status code 13 (file read failed).

The Event viewer logs show the following error:
Application Error     E1000 NA     Faulting application bpbkar32.exe, version 6.5.2008.618, faulting module nbMAPIProv.dll, version 6.5.2008.618, fault address 0x00005571.

The bpbkar log does not show any errors; it just ends in the same spot and shows information similar to:
