Problem

BUG REPORT: After installing or upgrading to NetBackup version 6.5.2, the progress log messages for an Oracle backup changed which may cause issues with scripts that monitor this file.

Solution

10:32:08 INF - Client completed sending data for backup

10:32:09 INF - Server status = 0
10:32:10 INF - Backup by <user name> on client <client name> using policy <policy name>, sched <schedule name> :the requested operation was successfully completed.

6.5.2:
10:40:10 INF - Client completed sending data for backup

10:40:18 INF - Starting bprm
10:40:49 INF - Beginning backup on server <server name> of client <client name>
10:41:07 INF - Server status = 0

Workaround:
There is no workaround available.

Please apply the appropriate release update to resolve this issue.

The formal resolution to this issue (Etrack 1304028) is included in the following patch release:
  • NetBackup 6.5 Release Update 3 (6.5.3)
