Problem

BUG REPORT: When opening a Storage Lifecycle Policy within the Windows Remote Administration Console, the volume pool resets to the NetBackup pool after opening the change window.

Solution

Bug: 1301364

Details:
When creating or editing a Storage Lifecycle policy using the Windows Remote Administration Console, the volume pool resets to "NetBackup" after opening the change window.

In this example, a new storage destination is created with a different pool selected.

 

The policy correctly displays the selected pool.

 

However, if the storage destination is opened, the Volume pool reverts to "NetBackup"

 

If the OK button is selected without any changes made, the volume pool will be incorrectly changed.

 


Workaround:
There are two workarounds to this issue.

1. Manually reset the correct volume pool every time the Storage Lifecycle Policy is edited.

2. Use the Java console (UNIX or Windows) instead of the Windows console.
