Scheduling backups using the "Edit Schedule Details" Option causes Backup Exec for Windows Servers (BEWS) or Backup Exec 2010 (BE 2010) to hang or freeze

This issue occurs because the Backup Exec Calendar Controller DLL (Dynamic Link Library) PVCALENDAR.OCX (a type of Active X Control) does not get registered properly by the system.
When the backup job is submitted to run according to a schedule with the "Edit Schedule Details" Option, it hangs or freezes the BEWS Application. The following popup may also come up on the screen. (Figure 1)
Normal backups that are submitted to run now or run as per a one time schedule do not hang or freeze.
