How to Obtain the Installation Download and License Keys for Enterprise Vault.

Problem

A new release of Veritas Enterprise Vault is available. The update may solve a problem that you are currently experiencing or incorporate new features that will be of value in your organization.

Solution

New Software Builds / Service Packs (Downloads) are available via the MyVeritas web site.  Refer to the FAQ section for additional information.

Enterprise Vault license keys and downloads can be obtained by following the steps below.

 



Downloads:

  1. Login into MyVeritas.
  2. Select the Licensing tab to access the Licensing Portal.
  3. Select the Entitlement tab to get the Entitlement view.
  4. Using the Entitlement search function, locate the Entitlement you wish to deploy.
  5. Click on the Entitlement ID link to access the software.
  6. Select either the Current Version or the Previous Version tab to get to the view that has the version of the software you wish to deploy.
  7. Click the Download button for the version wish to deploy and follow the steps to download the software.

 



Licensing:

To get a license key
  1. Login into MyVeritas.
  2. Select the Licensing tab to access the Licensing Portal.
  3. Select the Entitlement tab to get the Entitlement view.
  4. Using the Entitlement search function, locate the Entitlement you wish to deploy.
  5. Click on the Entitlement ID link to access the software.
  6. Select either the Current Version or the Previous Version tab to get to the view that has the version of the software you wish to deploy.
  7. Click the Get Key button for the version you wish to deploy, and follow the steps to generate the license keys.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

  • Can Veritas Technical Support assist with licensing information?
    Veritas Technical Support does not have access to licensing information; Technical Support is not able to provide direct assistance with application licensing. If assistance is required with licensing, please contact a Customer Care representative. The number for the US and Canada is 1-866-837-4827.
     
  • What do I do if I cannot find my product on the Product Download page?
    It is possible that the software is listed under a different name than you expected or that it is associated to a different serial number. If you still cannot find it, contact Customer Support.
     
  • Where can I find my serial number?
    You can find your serial number on the License Certificate you received with your initial purchase or on your Version Upgrade notification. Symantec Vouchers require registration via the Licensing Portal in order to receive a serial number. If you need help locating your serial number, please contact Customer Support.
     
  • Where can I get older versions of the software?
    You will receive access to the most recent version of the software at the time of purchase. If you are current on maintenance/support on the license, you will have access to upgrades to which you are entitled via your Version Upgrade serial number. Older versions than what you purchased may not be available. For more information, please contact Customer Support.
     
  • What if my download doesn't complete?
    For a complete download, start the download again. If you have any problems, contact Customer Support.
     
  • How long will my download take?
    Your download time of the files depend on the size of the file, the speed of your connection, and the amount of traffic on the Internet. For approximate times, check the Estimated Times and Details of the file on the Product Download page. 
     
  • Are serial numbers version specific?
    Yes, each serial number is version specific.  For example, if a 10.0.x serial number is entered 11.0.x files would not be displayed.
