The schedule for Daylight Saving Time (DST) was recently changed in the USA and elsewhere.  Veritas Server and Storage Management products extract time from the operating system (OS) or take their time from the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) package which is distributed with the products. The JRE package distributed with some Veritas Server and Storage Management products may not be updated with the new DST data.  As a result the time display may be incorrect if no action is taken.  See the resolution to find out what steps are needed for your Veritas product.
 
Leap Seconds
Leap Second adjustments are made to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) to synchronize it with changes in the earth's rotation. These changes may occur twice per year and do not affect the accurate performance of any version of any Veritas Server and Storage Management products.

Resolution:

Veritas recommends you take the following actions to ensure the time is correctly displayed in your product during the revised DST:

1)  Ensure you have applied any necessary operating system patches to support the new DST.

2) Check below to find out if an update is available for your Veritas product to support the new DST.

3) If an update to your Veritas product is not available, apply the recommended Veritas or 3rd party patches.
