Exchange setup wizard fails to start after upgrading cluster to 4.2 from 4.1 or 2.X

Error Message

Failed to get cluster information AND/OR Failed to read registry

Solution

The VERITAS Cluster Server Exchange setup wizard fails to start with above error message after upgrading the cluster from version 4.1 or 2.X  to 4.2.

There are two registry keys that are not added after doing the upgrade that prevent the VERITAS Cluster Server Exchange setup wizard from running. They are as follows:

HKLM\Software\VERTAS\VCS\ExchConfig\EVS\<evs name>\
-String Value:  RegRepUNCPath = ""

HKLM\Software\VERITAS\VCS\ExchConfig\EVS\<evs name>\Systems\<system name>\
-String Value:  InitiatorName = ""

Both of these values can be blank,  but they must exist for the wizard to start successfully.
Note: The InitiatorName key must exist for each system listed in the system's hive.
