Duplicate job of NDMP backup sets fail with unexpected processing message error.


When duplicating existing NDMP backup set from Backup to Disk (B2D) to a Duplication folder the duplicate job fails.

The issue can also occur when a duplicate job is duplicating NDMP backup sets from a Deduplication folder to a B2D device.



Error Message

 Verify- Encountered an unexpected processing message sent to class VerifyMessageHandler

class SetCopyJob
: class eng_msgs::sms_status
Final error: 0xe000fe30 - A communications failure has occurred.
Final error category: Server Errors

This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 15 or later versions.
To resolve this issue and receive the new Backup Exec improvements please upgrade to the current version of Backup Exec.

Disable Verify in Duplicate job.
Uncheck "Verify at the end of the job" in the Duplicate job.
