This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 2014 and later versions.

Workaround (for BE 2012):

Disable Delayed Cataloging on Media server where Exchange job is executed by setting up the following registry key:

Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\veritas\Backup Exec For Windows\BackupExec\Engine\Backup
DWORD = Disable Delayed Cataloging
Value = 1

Note: if the above registry entry is not present, create it and then set it to 1.

Restart all Backup Exec Services on the server after setting the above registry.
