The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume .
This issue occurs when a VM containing a Windows 2012 NTFS file system is mounted on a Windows 2008 media server. Previous versions of the NTFS file system have issues interpreting the data from VM disk images that contain Windows 2012 NTFS file systems. To bypass this issue, Backup Exec uses redo logging to repair the perceived corrupted file system prior to GRT cataloging. However, the Event ID 55 is reported prior to that process occurring when the disk is initially mounted. It should be noted that the actual data on the VMDK is not written to, and is in no way affected by this error during the mount and read of the VM disk image.
The Backup Exec Media Server Operating System should be at least the same version as the Operating System of the VM being backed up via GRT to avoid this alert being created.
