Email alerts are generated if the power supply readings are not available when the appliance probes for the hardware information.

If the readings for the power supplies are not readily available when the appliance monitoring script probes for the hardware information, alerts will be generated.

Cause

Readings for the power supplies are not readily available when the appliance monitoring script probes for the hardware information.

Solution

The formal resolution for this issue (ETrack 3379122) is included in the following release:

• NetBackup Appliances 2.6.0.2

Workaround:
If this issue is experienced and upgrade to a version containing a resolution isn't feasible, please contact Veritas technical support, referencing this document and the following Etrack to obtain an Emergency Engineering Binary (EEB) containing a fix for this issue:
