Cause

There was problem mounting the NFS export on the Linux VMware Access Host.  The error can be identified by running the mount command manually.  In this case it was because rpcbind and/or rpc.statd was not running.

Solution

On the Linux VMware Access Host run:
# service rpcbind start
# rpc.statd

Verify that the mount command will work, here is an example of testing the mount command against the snapshot data:
# mkdir /mnt/test
# mount -t nfs -r filer2.test.nb:/vol/rd2_filer1_1/25DD95E449674279AE2AB740FC8FAE21_30C02039_filer1_rd2_filer1/.snapshot/NBU_NAS_2013-12-11_1604-0500 /mnt/test
# umount /mnt/test

The syntax for mounting can be found in the bpfis log:
mount -t nfs -r <filer_name>:<snapshot> <destination_to_be_mounted>
