Exchange Granular Recovery Technology (GRT) Restore of public folder calendar item gets restored as a folder instead of calendar format


When a public folder calendar item is restored, the restore job completes successfully but the Item is restored as folder instead of calendar item




Run the GRT restore of the calendar item and re-import the item by manually creating calendar and copy the restored contents into public folder calendar in Outlook


Restore to Recovery database and recover the Items required

Symantec Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) listed under the Product(s) Section of this article. Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.
There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time.
