In OpsCenter, some job data may not be collected during the initial sync phase of NetBackup job data collection.
This initial sync phase starts after restarting (or disabling and then re-enabling) data collection from a NetBackup master server.
When collection of data is missed, it may result in inaccurate reporting in OpsCenter.
The formal resolution for this issue (Etrack 3286282) is included in the following releases:
- NetBackup 7.5 Maintenance Release 7 (184.108.40.206)

In future versions, there is a change in the behavior of how nbsl communicates with the OpsCenter server such that if there is a break in communication, the data collectors will resync to the correct point in time to ensure that no job data is missed.
If it is unfeasible to upgrade to a release containing a resolution for this issue, please contact Symantec technical support, referencing this document ID and Etracks 3286233 and 3298566 to obtain Emergency Engineering Binary (EEB) replacements containing fixes for this issue for NetBackup OpsCenter 18.104.22.168.
Symantec strongly recommends the following best practices:
1. Always perform a full DR backup prior to making any changes to your environment.
2. Always make sure that your environment is running the latest version and patch level.
3. Perform periodic "test" restores.
