Browser Search does not return the expected results when selecting Next

When performing a search in EV browser search and a folder or folders are selected from the Folders field the first 10 results are returned successfully as expected. If there are more than 10 archived items in that particular folder then the Next button is enabled. On clicking the next button the expected behavior is for the next 10 results to appear, however, instead the message indicated below is presented to the user.

****NOTE ****

This only happens when the Enterprise Vault server has a valid special character in the name. In this example, the vault server is called EV-EXCH.

An example of the specific actions that cause this issue are listed as follows:

  • Open Browser Search
  • Select an archive that has more than 10 items in a particular folder. In this example the Inbox.
  • Select browse in the Folders field.
  • Select the Inbox.
  • Click OK.

The search screen will look as such:

  • Click on search and the first 10 items will be returned on page 1.
  • Click Next and it will not show the next 10 items as expected and you will receive one of the following messages dependent on EV version :-

         EV 9.0.5 - "Failed to perform the search request"
         EV 10.0.4 & 10.0.4 CHF1 - "No archived items match the search query"

    as shown below.
