From a NON-GRT (file level INC) backup of the sharepoint server there are numerous "did not pass modification check " messages :

Cause

Logic implemented for the Accelerator feature (new in 7.5) introduced some I/O overhead which causes performance degradation.

This logic is used regardless if the Accelerator feature has been enabled or not.

Additionally, at logging level General 2, the bpbkar log at NetBackup 7.5 can be significantly larger for the same data-set when compared with the bpbkar log at General 2 with NetBackup 7.1.

Solution

Request fix for Etrack 3310111

Even though this hotfix was created for performance issues with file level INC backups, this corrected the GRT performance issue.

The key is the did not pass modification check message in the file level backup.  At the time, did not have a bpbkar log from the GRT backup to confirm if the same message was seen.
