This is seen when both Symantec System Recovery (SSR) and Backup Exec (BE) are installed on the same server (server that is being used for GRO restores).

Please note that if GRT (Granular Restore Technology) is being used in the Backup Exec backup job for this server, the following workaround may cause problems for that BE job.

The following steps must be carried out on the server that is being used for the GRO restore.

Re-register ExchMapi32.dll:

1.Open command prompt (run as administrator)
2.Type regsvr32.exe <SSR Install Path>\Console\Win32\ExchMapi32.dll

Now perform the following steps:

1. Close SSR/GRO if currently running
2. Use Task Manager to check if Shimservice is running. If yes, end the process
3. Restart the 'GenericMount Helper Service'
4. Open command prompt (run as administrator) and re-register the following:

From <SSR Install Folder>\Console\Win32
1.regsvr32.exe ExchMapi32.dll
2.ExchMapi32Svc.exe /RegServer
3.regsvr32 ExchMapi32PS32.dll
4.regsvr32 ExchMapi32SvcPS32.dll

From <SSR Install Folder>\Console\ExchMapi32
1.regsvr32.exe ExchMapi32.dll
2.regsvr32.exe ExchMapi32PS64.dll
3.regsvr32.exe ExchMapi32SvcPS64.dll
4.ExchMapi32Svc.exe /regserver

Now start SSR/GRO and retry the restore.
