In certain circumstances after a successful backup of a Dell Equalogic NDMP filer the restore selections show none or partial restore selections.
This issue has been observed with Dell NDMP filers using the FluidFS file system when backing up large data sets(usually larger than 3-4 TB). This issue is not directly linked to the size of the backup but more related to the number of files contained within the backup. It is possible to encounter this issue with a much smaller backup set that contains many small files. The NDMP data is backed up safely (assuming the backup completed successfully). The cause is linked to the way the restore selections are displayed in the Backup Exec restore interface.
A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Articles at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.
