I. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Please refer to the "Installing Veritas OpsCenter" section of the
Veritas OpsCenter Administrator's Guide. Refer to the following

II. DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

1) Download the OpsCtr_<Server|Agent>_7.5.0.7_<platform>.tar.gz file into the /tmp directory.


2) Extract the OpsCtr_<Server|Agent>_7.5.0.7_<platform>.tar.gz file.

        That creates the following directory which contains the installation scripts:
        
    OpsCtr_<Server|Agent>_7.5.0.7_<platform>

        where <platform> is: solaris, solaris_x86, hpia64, AIX64, linuxR_x86, and linuxS_x86

III. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before you install this Release Update, please review the following items:
 
  - Veritas recommends that you install OpsCenter on a dedicated server.

  - Veritas OpsCenter 7.5 must be installed and running.

    For more information about OpsCenter, refer to the NetBackup OpsCenter
    Administrator's Guide on the Veritas Support Website:

To install this Release Update as root on the server:

1) Install OpsCtr_Server_7.5.0.7_<platform> Release Update binaries.
 
   - cd /tmp/OpsCtr_Server_7.5.0.7_<platform>/ServerPatch

   - Run the installOpsCenterServerPatch script, for example:

       OpsCtr_Server_7.5.0.7_linuxS_x86/ServerPatch/installOpsCenterServerPatch

2)  Install OpsCtr_Agent_7.5.0.7_<platform> Release Update binaries.
 
   - cd /tmp/OpsCtr_Agent_7.5.0.7_<platform>/AgentPatch

   - Run the installOpsCenterAgentPatch script, for example:

       OpsCtr_Agent_7.5.0.7_solaris/AgentPatch/installOpsCenterAgentPatch

  For more information on how to install or upgrade OpsCenter, refer to
  the NetBackup OpsCenter Administrator's Guide, available on the Veritas Support Website.

To install this Release Update in a UNIX Cluster Environment:

1) Before you install this Release Update, make sure that Veritas OpsCenter is
   at release level 7.5 and configured to run in a cluster.

2) Freeze the cluster by following the procedures outlined in the
 "NetBackup High Availability Guide."

3) Install this Release Update on the inactive node(s) of the cluster first.
   (Perform the steps in the, "To install this Release Update as root on the OpsCenter Server" procedure).

4) Install this Release Update on the active node of the cluster.
   (Again, perform the steps in the, "To install this Release Update as root
    on the OpsCenter Server" procedure).

5) Unfreeze the cluster by following the procedure outlined in the "NetBackup High Availability Guide."

6) If the cluster is in a faulted state, clear the fault.

IV. UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
===========================

Note:  This will ONLY uninstall the Release Update from your local machine.

To uninstall OpsCenter:
-----------------------
1) Uninstalling Server Patch.

    - Run the following un-install script:

     /opt/VRTS/install/Ops7507/uninstallOpsCenterServerPatch

2) Uninstalling Agent Patch.

   - Run the un-install script:

      /opt/VRTS/install/OpsAgent7507/uninstallOpsCenterAgentPatch

3) Verify that the Release Update uninstalled successfully by checking the
   Opscenter Services and version information in login page:

    /opt/SYMCOpsCenterServer/bin/opsadmin.sh monitor

To uninstall this Release Update in a UNIX cluster environment:

1) Freeze the cluster to prevent failover during the uninstall.

2) Uninstall this Release Update on the inactive node(s) of the cluster first.

3) Uninstall this Release Update on the active node of the cluster.

4) If the cluster is in a faulted state, clear the fault.

5) Be sure to uninstall both client and server updates on each node before proceeding to the next step.

6) Unfreeze the cluster.
