Enterprise Vault Agent backup jobs of individual closed and ready partitions fail with "Unable to Connect to Remote Agent" in the job log


Selecting individual closed and ready partitions using Backup Exec 2012 and the Agent for Enterprise Vault causes the job to fail with "Unable to Connect to Remote Agent".

Final error: 0xe000846b - The resource could not be backed up because an error occurred while connecting to the Agent for Windows. The correct version of the Agent for Windows must be running on the target computer.

From an SGMon debug of 'Job Engine, RAWS, Agent Browser', and Enterprise Vault Agent logging set to "maximum" from Tools -> Settings -> Agents, the following issue is visible:

There is an issue with selection list data being passed to the Backup Exec Engine when individual ready and closed partitions are selected for backup in the job definition.
