Granular Recovery Technology (GRT) restore of mailboxes with special character * in name completes successfully without restoring the data when partial mailbox is selected for restore. This issue will not come up if entire mailbox is selected in the restore job.
This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 2014 or later versions.
A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Documents at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.

Restore entire mailbox
Restore the entire database to recovery database and then recover the items required from the recovery database. Refer to following technote for information on restore to recovery database www.symantec.com/docs/TECH144035
