When enabling or modifying policies in Symantec System Recovery Management Solution (SSR-MS), duplicate NSEs are generated by the SSR Plug-in on the client machines. This in turn causes a performance issue on the Symantec Management Platform (SMP) server as it struggles to process all of these events in a timely manner.
This is typically only an issue in environments where a large number (several thousand) of clients are being managed by SSR-MS.
This issue is fixed in Service Pack 2 (11.0.2) for SSR-MS which is available via Symantec Installation Manager (SIM).
