Duplicate NSEs are generated when policies are enabled or modified in System Recovery Management Solution.

Problem

When enabling or modifying policies in System Recovery Management Solution, duplicate NSEs are generated by the System recovery Plug-in on the client machines. This in turn causes a performance issue on the Symantec Management Platform (SMP) server as it struggles to process all of these events in a timely manner.

This is typically only an issue in environments where a large number (several thousand) of clients are being managed by System Recovery Management Solution.

Solution

This issue is fixed in Service Pack 2 (11.0.2) for SSR-MS which is available via Installation Manager.
