Backup Exec 2010 R3 revision 5204 Service Pack 3
This Service Pack contains added platform support, critical updates, and enhancements for Backup Exec 2010 R3 revision 5204.
New features/enhancements are included in this release
• Protection of Windows Server 2012 servers using the Agent for Windows. This includes support for:
⁃ Microsoft data deduplication-enabled volumes (backs up and restores data in non-deduplicated data format) (Non-GRT
⁃ ReFS (Resilient File System) (Non-GRT only)
⁃ New Hyper-V version (Non-GRT only for VHDX)
⁃ Updated Failover Clustering (CSV)
⁃ Native 4K (Advanced Format) drives
⁃ Online recovery of volumes
• Updated protection of SQL to include:
⁃ SQL 2012 SP1
⁃ SQL 2008 R2 SP1
⁃ SQL 2008 R2 SP2
• Support for Exchange 2010 SP3 (pending final release from Microsoft)
• Support for VMware vSphere 5.1
⁃ VMware ESX 5.1 and vCenter 5.1

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you require the media for Backup Exec 2010 R3, please be sure you have the latest Backup Exec 2010 installation media with SP3 embedded (the downloaded file will have SP3 in the filename). To obtain the latest install media, have your serial number available and go to MyVeritas portal (See http://www.veritas.com/docs/000100418) to download.

- Administrative privileges are required to install this Service Pack.
- A full backup is recommended after installing this Service Pack.
- The IDR recovery media (the ISO created through the IDR Wizard) needs to be recreated after installing this Service Pack.
- Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this Service Pack.
- Remote Agent for Linux/Unix/Macintosh Servers (RALUS/RAMS) will need to be updated after installing this hotfix.
- SAP Agents will need to be updated after installing this hotfix.

This service pack can't be uninstalled.
