Problem

When using Backup Exec Advanced Disk Based Option to backup data the following errors may be seen:

 

Error Message

The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set
canceled.

ADBO: Offhost backup cleanup failed during the deporting or resynchronization of
volumes on the remote computer.

V-79-57344-34108 - An unexpected error occurred when cleaning up snapshot
volumes. Confirm that all snapped volumes are correctly resynchronized with the
original volumes.

Solution

Veritas Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Veritas Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.

 

This issue is currently under investigation by Veritas Corporation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software. Workaround:
Stagger the ADBO based jobs at least 10-15 minutes apart which should allow them to complete without error.
