When importing more than one PST file with Auditing enabled, Event 6469 is triggered and all subsequent PST files fail to migrate.

Problem

Importing PST files through the wizard, only the first PST will import.  The rest of the PST files will fail with Enterprise Vault Auditing enabled.  The Event ID 6469 “An exception has occurred” will be triggered for each PST file after the initial PST has processed.

Workaround:

Disable Enterprise Vault Auditing to import more than one PST file.

1. On the left hand pane of the Vault Admin Console, right click on the vault server found beneath the Enterprise Vault Servers node and select Properties.

2. In the Auditing tab, deselect Audit entries based on the following categories and click OK.

3. Use the Enterprise Vault PST Migration Wizard as normal.
