Netapp NDMP Verify jobs fails if the Verify job is setup with the options (After Job finished as a separate job OR  as a separate scheduled job). Netapp NDMP support verify jobs.  Other NDMP vendors do not support Verify operation (TECH145928).

Error Message

A Verify operation is not supported for NDMP server backup sets

Verify as standalone operation is not supported for NetApp (or any other NDMP vendor) in the current revisions of Backup Exec.

When the Verify jobs is set to run  (After Job finished as a separate job OR  as a separate scheduled job) it is considered standalone Verify job.

A) Run the Verify at the end of the job.

B) To run a standalone verify run a restore job and set “Restore without writing data" under NDMP job settings. In Backup Exec 2012 check the box to "Verify that the data can be restored, but do not restore the data."
