Problem

After reinstallation of CCER5.2RU3, a user encounters .[Catalina].[localhost].[/sm].[jsp] - Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception java.lang.NullPointerException in CCER GUI.

Error Message

 [ServletException in:/jsp/view/renderer/TaskRenderer.jsp?compID=VIEW_TREE_TASKS] null

Solution

Please do the following steps.

Please go to the panel in firefox for certificates and delete previously accepted certificates from this and other ER servers.  Since it is the cognos pane,
 

Please look for certificates from Cognos, delete all of them  Push View Certficates

 
Please look at servers tab.

 

Please find Cognos ones, and push Delete.
Please restart firefox after delete.
Please connect again to CCER server, and accept certificates.
