Post upgrading to BE 2012, a One-Time Backup job targeted to Backup-to-Disk folder fails with error “The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of
drives and media needed”

Error Message

Final error: 0xe0000f16 - The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed.
Final error category: Job Errors

V-79-57344-33028 - Error - Mount failed.
Invalid Physical Volume Library Media Set Identifier.

Solution

Workaround:

Configure a normal Backup job and use “Run Now” option.
