If a Synthetic backup job selection list contains more than one drive on a server the baseline FULL and Synthetic incremental's will complete successfully. When the Synthetic Full backup runs the job fails with an error indicating the job was canceled due to an alert response.
The job was canceled because the response to a media request alert was Cancel, or because the alert was configured to automatically respond with Cancel, or
because the Backup Exec Job Engine service was stopped.
This issue only occurs when the selection list is backing up folders on more then one volume or drive on a server. Example C:\FolderA and E:\FolderB.
The issue will not occur if the selection list contains only one volume or drive selection.
Create multiple Synthetic jobs to backup one volume per each job per server.
