Remote Agent Service hangs on stopping. Reboot required.
Intermittently, the Backup Exec remote agent service (beremote.exe) may become unresponsive when attempting to stop it via Task Manager or any third party utility. The remote agent service will restart successfully after a server reboot, however, subsequent attempts to stop/restart the service may result in the same hanging state.
A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Documents at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.
