Problem

NDMP redirect restore shows following error in the Restore settings “This is an invalid path. Enter a path name using the following format ‘\\servername\<drive>:\<path>” but the job completes successfully.

Backup Exec cannot locate the destination drive that you entered. Ensure that the drive exists and that the credentials are correct. Click Next to continue with the path you entered.


 

Cause

The issue is cosmetic in nature

Solution

Click Next to Continue if the path is valid and correct.

Or

Enter correct path in correct format and the restore should complete successfully.

      Example for correct path : "//servername/<drive>:/<path>” as shown in the figure above.
