Jobs disappear from Backup Exec 2012 Console and a warning is noticed towards the bottom left hand corner in the console "The query for Job View failed"
The Issue happens because of the fact that some jobs lose their schedules. This happens when there are two jobs sharing a schedule and one of the jobs is deleted which in the background deletes the schedule and leaves the other Job orphaned without a schedule. This leads to the above Issue.
This issue is fixed in Backup Exec 2012 with Service Pack 1a (TECH186717).
NOTE : If the Issue is present prior to installing the above Hotfix, customers are encouraged to contact Technical Support as this hotfix will prevent the issue only from happening in the future, however, will not fix the existing issue.
