Inconsistent results in Veritas Operations Manager (VOM) 'Uptime Report'.

Problem

When the 'Uptime Report' is run for a period with no Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) Service Group activity, the report contains no data.  This includes the scenario where the Service Group is known to have been online for the period of the report.

Running the report over a longer time-frame that includes Service Group activity, through either a failover or from the time VOM being installed, will produce an accurate report.  When running from VOM installation date the report indicates 100% uptime.

Error Message

 There are no errors in the VOM logs.

Cause

In case on Windows CMS only, a value required to calculate the beginning of the Report time-frame is not present.

Solution

This behavior will be corrected in the upcoming version of Veritas Operations Manager (VOM) 5.0.  For further details and workaround solution on VOM 4.0RU1, please contact Symantec Enterprise Support.
