Scheduled NDMP Backup job from EMC device to B2D folder on a media server fails with 0xe000fe28 error

Attempting to run an NDMP Option policy based backup job from an EMC device to a Backup-to-disk (B2D) folder on a media server fails reporting the error provided below. If the job is run manually instead of  via the set schedule, the job completes successfully.


Error Message

0xe0000fe28 - A network connection to the server could not be established.
(or in German 0xe000fe28 - Es konnte keine Netzwerkverbindung mit dem Server hergestellt werden.)



Start the job manually as a Run now option in order to get  a valid backup.
