Problem

Unable to create a 'Backup to disk' folder folder in Symantec Backup Exec 2010 as getting error "Access is Denied".
 

Error Message

"Access is Denied"
 

Cause

Usually 'Access denied' error occur due to lack of permission to BE service account on the 'Backup to disk' folder on the desitnation. Also check if 'Backup to disk' folder destination is in a different domain, if so then a Trust relationship between the two domains needs to be created.


 

Solution


If the 'Backup to disk' folder destination is in a different domain, then a Trust relationship between the two domains needs to be created.

Kindly refer Microsoft Windows documentation or their http://support.microsoft.com/ site to know the details on how to establish trust relationship between two domains.
