The Backup Exec 2010 Splash Screen reports "Trial Version" when using a Backup Exec Small Business License key on a Hyper-V host protecting a Windows Small Business Server (SBS) Guest (Figure 1).

Backup Exec will function as Expected providing the workaround\solution is implemented in document (TECH140561).


The "Trial Version" splash screen message can be safely ignored as this is a Backup Exec GUI annoyance.

There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time.
