Unable to expand the NetApp filer in the backup selections even after providing the correct credentials.
 

Error Message

 Access is Denied 

Solution

Usually an account named root or another non-root user name  is provided by NetApp for the backup purpose, this account can be verified in Backup Exec interface under  menu Network > Logon accounts and should be used for expanding the NetApp NDMP resources.

If the Filer gives an access denied for the NetApp user account make sure that the Username has the same case (Case Sensitive) as it was created on the NetApp Console / terminal window.

E g : Account  name ROOT will not behave like lower case root for authenticating a NetApp filer.
