Client PST migration errors with "Failed to convert network path"

Problem

Client Driven PST migration does not migrate any PST files.

Error Message

Event ID: 8391 The EnterpriseVault.DirectoryService object reported an error.| |Access is denied.| |

Solution

Enable ASP.NET  Impersonation on the EV server:
 

  1. Open IIS Manager
  2. Expand Sites
  3. Select Enterprise Vault in the left pane and click Authentication
  4. Enable ASP.NET Impersonation
  5. Restart IIS
