SMTP Email settings in Veritas System Recovery (SSR) are lost following a machine restart on Windows 7 and 2008 R2.

Problem

After adding the 'SMTP Email' settings in the Veritas System Recovery (SSR) graphical user interface (GUI), those settings are lost if the machine is restarted rather than being shutdown.

Solution

This issue is fixed in Service Pack 2 (10.0.2) for Veritas System Recovery (SSR) 2011. SP2 is available via LiveUpdate or here: https://www.veritas.com/docs/000085410
