Event log descriptions are not available when viewing computer details in Backup Exec System Recovery Management Solution (BESR-MS).

Problem

When viewing a computer details through Backup Exec System Recovery Management Solution (BESR-MS), the event log description is not available. The following is seen (see Figures 1 & 2 for more details):

Error: <Unknown result name 'ERROR_NUM_TEXT'>

Information: <Unknown result name 'INFO_NUM_TEXT'>

Solution

This issue is fixed in Service Pack 2 (10.0.2) of Symantec System Recovery Management Solution (SSR-MS) 2011 which is available via Symantec Installation Manager (SIM).

NOTE: This issue has also been seen in SSR-MS 2013 when Internet Explorer is configured with any language other than English. To resolve this, change the language settings in Internet Explorer (Tools--Internet Options--Languages) to English (United States) [en-US].
