Disk ‘[XXXX] XXXXX.vmdk’ is marked as independent-persistent. Ignoring for backup.
This only affects disks marked as independent., since VMWare will not capture the snapshot of this units.

Consult the VMWare specialist or support to check the possibility of changing the disk definition (sometimes array managing software will require to have the disks as independent).

To change the disk from Independent Mode
- Choose Inventory > Virtual Machine > Edit Settings.|
- Click the Hardware tab, and select the hard disk you want to change - it should be Hard Disk 1 but check both
- Under Mode, deselect Independent.
