After successful recovery of a Windows 2008 SP2 client, the Windows banner appears, eventually drops to a blank screen. Within the blank (black) screen the mouse becomes visible but with no logon options. Multiple reboots or resets of the client will still give the same results.
No error, a blank screen appears.
This behavior is due to BMR not properly copying in place on the client, a successfully restored system file required for the operating system to completely come online.
