This is a known issue when monitoring Solaris and AIX hosts running Storage Foundation 5.0MP3RP1.  This error will occur in Linux 5.0MP4RP1 .  HP-UX is not affected.

Following workaround can be used to avoid this issue (work-around will disable disk, HBA and volume performance statistics gathering)

SUMMARY

o  Make a backup copy of /etc/vx/dcli/sfm/conf/dcli_conf.ini and comment out the following lines ( # ):

VolumeLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_vxvm_volume
DiskLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_vxvm_disk
DmpCtlrLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_dmp_ctlr

DETAILS:

1)    Go the following directory:
      # cd /etc/vx/dcli/sfm/conf

2)    Make a backup copy of the dcli_conf.ini configuration file.
      #  cp dcli_conf.ini dcli_conf.ini.bak

3)   Comment out the following lines ( # ).

Change:

VolumeLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_vxvm_volume
DiskLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_vxvm_disk
DmpCtlrLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_dmp_ctlr

to:

# VolumeLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_vxvm_volume
# DiskLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_vxvm_disk
# DmpCtlrLog = /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/stats/6hour.vrts_dmp_ctlr
