Enterprise Vault (EV) backup Selections do not appear in Backup Exec Selection List.
This issue occurs when the Outlook Add-In for Enterprise Vault has been installed on the Enterprise Vault Server.
This issue has been resolved in Backup Exec 2010 R3
This issue has also been resolved with Enterprise Vault 8.0 SP5 and Enterprise Vault 9.0
Note: Upgrading Enterprise Vault to either of the above will resolve the issue with Backup Exec 2010 and 2010 R2.

Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry and when viewing the registry.. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\wow6432node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Install\Version should list the correct version build number of Enterprise Vault. Example. 188.8.131.521
Change the Key to the correct listing. EV support may need to be contacted to ensure the correct setting is used.
Then restart the BE Remote Agent.
This issue generally occurs on Enterprise Vault 8 SP 4 servers. The debug log from the Backup Exec Remote Agent will show the following:
ApplyRegExp(): Invalid input (8.0-Full). Parsing Failed.
CStringHandler::ParseVersionString - Invalid EV version : 8.0-Full
CEVInterface::SetEVVersion - Error in matching the file version string. Unsupported Version string (8.0-Full)
