Issues addressed and added functionality in Hotfix 347420 (DDI20100415 Device Driver Installer)

Solution

Below are the issues that are specifically resolved by this DDI Hotfix:

  • When a LTO3 WORM cartridge is inserted into Quantum Model B LTO3 HH SCSI drive it is not recognized correctly and no WORM backup\restore operations can be performed
  • Event ID 33152 error messages are being regularly generated by Backup Exec but no functionality seems to be affected
  • Orphaned pointers are being left in the Backup Exec DB (BEDB) when deleting media sets that were tied to a Media Vault rule. This then causes a migration failure when trying to upgrade to Backup Exec 2010
  • Need to increase timeouts to meet Vendor specifications on LTO drives

Below is the new functionality added by this DDI Hotfix:
  • Adding Encryption recognition for LTO5 drives
  • All successful reads and writes in the Tracer utility are collapse by default to make reading the log easier
