Setting up shared storage

Description

Setting up shared storage

The following sections describe how to set up the SCSI and the Fibre Channel devices that the cluster systems share.

For I/O fencing, the data disks must support SCSI-3 persistent reservations. You need to configure a coordinator disk group that supports SCSI-3 PR and verify that it works.

Note:

On AIX and Linux:

VCS also supports non-SCSI3 server-based fencing configuration in virtual environments that do not support SCSI-3 PR-compliant storage.

See also the Administrator's Guide for a description of I/O fencing.

See Setting up shared storage: SCSI.
