You can create a thin reclamation process for a selected business entity using the Veritas Operations Manager console. The reclamation process reclaims the thin reclaimable LUNs that are used by VxFS file systems, and those file systems are part of the selected business entity.
To configure a thin reclamation process for a business entity
In the Veritas Operations Manager console, click Solutions.
Under Veritas SF Thin Reclamation, click Create Reclamation Processes.
In the Configure Reclamation Process wizard panel, enter the reclamation process name in the Process Name and select Business Entity (File System) for Reclaim By option. After you have entered the required information, click Next.
In the Select Business Entity panel, Veritas Operations Manager displays business entities with Storage Foundation thin reclaimable LUNs. Select the desired business entity and click Next.
In the Select Scheduled Run Options panel, select the Run this Reclamation Process automatically check box and select the frequency at which you want to run this reclamation. The Run this Reclamation Process automatically check box is optional. Click Next.
The Reclamation Process Summary panel provides you with the details about the configured reclamation process. For example, business entity details, reclaimable Veritas File Systems, reclaimable LUNs, process schedule, and the start date for the process.
Select the Run Reclamation Now check box if you want to run the reclamation process immediately after you save it. By default, it is selected. Click View Association Report to view the reclamation process associations report. It provides you the details about the various objects that are used in the reclamation. Click Finish to complete the reclamation process.
