How to import from a command line a Dynamic Disk Group as a non-cluster dg (Type=Dynamic Secondary) or as a cluster dg (Type=Dynamic Cluster)

Description

Below are the command line to change a Dynamic Disk Group to non-cluster dg (Type=Dynamic Secondary) or cluster dg (Type=Dynamic Cluster):

 
C:\>vxdg -g dynamic_disk_group_name import -d (import as non-cluster dg, Type=Dynamic Secondary)
 
C:\>vxdg -g dynamic_disk_group_name import -s (import as a cluster dg, Type=Dynamic Cluster)
 
 
NOTE: the Dynamic Disk Group needs to be first in a deported state in order to change the Type as Dynamic Secondary or Dynamic Cluster.
